Required Application Materials

(2) Application fee receipt: The fee is NT$1,600 / US$60 per application (including postage for application result notification). Fees can be paid by bank transfer from abroad, or in person to the NCCU cashier. Include photocopy of payment receipt in your application.

(6) Copy of passport photo page

  • If applicable, NCCU may ask the applicant to provide a photocopy of a “Forfeited Nationality Permit Certificate” issued by Ministry of the Interior, “Certificate of Entry and Exit Dates” issued by National Immigration Agency, signed “Non-Household Registration Declaration" and/or other official certificates. (7) Copy of your highest degree diploma and transcript verified by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office (TECRO) in the country in which the diploma was issued. If such original documents are in a language other than English or Chinese, an additional translation must be similarly verified by TECRO and enclosed.

  • Applicants with a bachelor's degree or above from a Ministry of Education-recognized university in mainland China are also required to submit a Certificate of Degree Conferral
  • Current students who have not yet received their official diploma are required to submit an official certificate of expected graduation (in English or Chinese) issued by their school in lieu of their diploma at the time of application.

(9) An official bank statement (in Chinese or English) that indicates an account balance of at least NTD$200,000 (USD$7,000). The statement must be issued by a financial institution within three months of the time of application.

  • If the account holder is different from the applicant, submit a signed sponsorship letter (in Chinese or English) that clarifies the relationship between the account holder and the applicant, and confirms that the account holder is committed to providing for the applicant’s living and study expenses while in Taiwan.   • Students with full scholarship must provide proof of scholarship.
